cricket league - day 7 part 2

Match between Maratha Warriors ( MW) and Ball Kickers (BK)

Toss: Won by Maratha Warriors and elected to bat first

Maratha warriors managed to score 111 from 15 overs with the help of some good batting from captain Hrishikesh Bhadange.

Chasing 112 from 15 overs was newer going to be easy for Ball Kickers especially when kaustubh took wicket of Wasala in his first over. But, after that there was partnership of 19 runs between Ramakrishna and Hasith. This partnership was brought to end by Rohit Pillay in his first over ( Fourth over in this inning) . This match was slipping away from MW hands during the course of third wicket partnership of 43 runs between Rama Krishna and Sri. But, Manish striked back with the wicket of Sri in his second over ( and 10th over of this inning). There was 22 runs partnership between Rmakrishna and Rahul. Ramakrishna was runout due to excellent fielding by Maratha Warriors.Rama Krishna had played a captain's knock of 49 runs from 35 balls. When Rama krishna was out , Ball Kickers were at 91/4 in 10.5 overs. Ball Kickers required another 21 runs from 25 balls with 6 wickets in hand. But, due to some excellent balling by MW, this runs were not scored. In 12th over, Hrishikesh Mate took the wicket of Rahul and Ruchika was runout. It was followed by excellent over (by Manish) in which he bagged 3 wickets. Hrishikesh Mate ended Ball kickers inning in 14th over by taking last wicket.

We are thankful to Ashvin and Raghvendra for their wonderful job of umpiring in back to back matches today.

Final Scores:
Maratha Warriors : 111 ( 15 overs)
Ball Kickers : 98/10 ( 13.2 overs)
